This is a magnetic P-FLAT (Pattern Flat) sheet for 3D printers (and other crafts). Anything that is printed face down, will have the effect imbued upon it. The sheet has thousands of microgrooves that copy the light refracting pattern. The effect remains on the build plate for reuse. I have about 300 prints on a majority of my sheets are they are still going strong.
There are new sizes for some patterns - 360mm x 360mm and larger (Actual sizes vary with pattern)- These can be cut with scissors or a razor blade to match your build plate. If you'd like me to cut them to size, please leave a comment in the order notes. All designs go from edge to edge, with Starry Vine as the exception, the pattern has a 30mm blank margin on both sides, actual pattern measurements are 300mm x 400mm. They are intended to be placed directly on top of the existing textured pei sheet surface, followed by performing a new bed level calibration.
I use very slow speeds for first layer adhesion, generally 35mm/s, with 55-65 degree build plate temp. I use a .24mm first layer height and a fresh isopropyl wipe before every print. These are a consumable, over time the effect will be less prominent, however, I have about 200 prints on each of mine and I have not seen any noticeable change. You must wait for the surface to cool to around 40 degrees Celsius before removing the print, or you'll risk damaging the surface. Isopropyl alcohol is recommended to ease removal, especially when printing Flex PLA or TPU.
